    The Rays have signed catcher Bobby Wilson and infielder Eugenio Velez to minor-league deals. Both players will receive an invite to spring training. Wilson hit .267/.324/.341 over 270 at-bats at Triple-A. Velez hit .309/.363/.441 over 404 at-bats at the same level. Velez has not appeared in the majors since 2011.

    Brewers cut seven from major-league camp Friday

    The Blue Jays released utility player Eugenio Velez from the organization Monday, Sportsnet.ca reports. He was batting .270 with seven home runs and 21 steals over 69 games with Triple-A Buffalo.
