    • Six Dodgers reassigned to the minors

News: RHP Charlie Haeger, LHP Stephen Randolph, RHP Nick DeBarr, INF Hector Luna, OF Mitch Jones and OF Valentino Pascucci were reassigned to the minors on Sunday, reducing the Dodgers roster to 41 players.
Analysis: These players are not expected to make much of an impact in the 2009 season so ignore all of them on Draft Day.
    • Nobodies will begin for Dodgers

News: Dodgers RHP Claudio Vargas will start Wednesday's Cactus League opener against the Cubs in Mesa. Non-roster LHP Eric Milton will also throw, along with RHP Ramon Troncoso, LHP Stephen Randolph, RHP Nick DeBarr and LHP Carmen Cali.
Analysis: Vargas has an outside shot to win a rotation spot, but he has little upside and doesn't deserve any attention on Draft Day. These other players are organizational depth at this point in their careers, though Troncoso has a good chance of making the opening-day roster.
    • Dodgers send out slew of invites

News: The Dodgers have agreed to terms with 15 free agents, including longtime big league shortstop Juan Castro. The Dodgers said Thursday they also agreed to terms with right-handers Yhency Brazoban, Travis Chick, Nick Debarr, Edgar R. Martinez and Scott Strickland; left-handers Carmen Cali, Brian Mazone, Jacobo Meque, Stephen Randolph and Erick Threets; first basemen-outfielders Mitch Jones and Valentino Pascucci; and infielders Hector Luna and Luis Maza.
Analysis: All of these players are nothing more than organizational depth at this point in their careers. Ignore them in all Fantasy leagues on Draft Day. They would have very limited roles if they get time on the Dodgers roster this season.
    • Debarr sent to Tampa

News: The Boston Globe reports the Red Sox sent Rule 5 RP Nick Debarr back to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays Monday.
Analysis: DeBarr is nothing more than a low-end middle reliever for the deepest of AL-only leagues if he were to make the team out of spring training.
    • Red Sox sign Debarr

News: The Boston Herald reports the Red Sox signed RP Nick Debarr to a one-year contract Sunday.
Analysis: DeBarr is nothing more than a low-end middle reliever for the deepest of AL-only leagues if he were to make the team out of spring training.
    • Red Sox add Debarr via Rule 5

News: The Red Sox picked up RHP Nick DeBarr from the Devil Rays in the Rule 5 draft.
Analysis: DeBarr is nothing more than a low-end middle reliever for the deepest of AL-only leagues if he were to make the team out of spring training. Ignore him.
