    • Marlins trim eight more from roster

News: The Marlins sent outfielder Jai Miller, lefty reliever Taylor Tankersley, right-hander Cristhian Martinez, RHP Kasey Olenberger, C Vinny Rottino, infielder Danny Richar and outfielder Scott Cousins to the minors Saturday. Also, Rule-5 third baseman Jorge Jimenez was returned to the Boston Red Sox.
Analysis: Jimenez has pop in his bat, but he won't be a real candidate to help the Red Sox this season, so ignore him and the rest of these players in all leagues at this point.
    • Marlins sign Olenberger to deal

News: The Marlins have invited the following non-roster players to spring training: outfielders Michael Stanton and Bryan Petersen; infielders Matt Dominguez, Ozzie Martinez and Logan Morrison; catcher Chris C. Hatcher; and pitchers Dan Jennings, Kasey Olenberger and Jay Voss.
Analysis: Stanton, Morrison and Dominguez are elite prospects worth watching in all leagues. They can arrive this season and might even be candidates to make the roster out of spring training, if they prove capable. The rest of these guys figure to open in the minors and spend the year there. Ignore them on Draft Day.
    • Angels make another round of cuts

News: The Angels reassigned RHP Henry Bonilla, RHP Nick Green, RHP Jeff Kennard, RHP Kasey Olenberger, RHP Matt Wilhite, 3B Matt Brown, SS Sean Rodriguez and 2B Freddy Sandoval to minor league camp Sunday.
Analysis: Rodriguez has nice pop for a shortstop prospect, while Green was a candidate to start amid the absence of John Lackey (triceps) but is nothing more than an in-season option now. The other players are nothing more than organizational depth at this point and can be ignored in all Fantasy leagues on Draft Day.
    • Angels hand out spring invites

News: The Angels signed RHP Henry Bonilla, OF Dee Brown and OF Chad Hermansen to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training. Also, they invited RHP Nick Adenhart, RHP Stephen Marek, RHP Darren O'Day, RHP Kasey Olenberger, RHP Fernando Rodriguez, RHP Rafael Rodriguez, RHP Alex Serrano, RHP Matt Wilhite, C Hank Conger, C Anel De Los Santos, C Tim Duff, 2B Ryan Mount, 2B Adam Pavkovich, SS P.J. Phillips, 3B Freddy Sandoval, SS Hainley Statia, 2B Nate Sutton and OF Peter Bourjos to spring training.
Analysis: Adenhart and Conger are top prospects worth considering in all long-term keeper leagues. All of these other spring invites figure to open in the minor leagues and be nothing more than organizational depth this season, so ignore them on Draft Day.
    • Angels make three minor cuts

News: The Angels reassigned RHP Ryan Aldridge, RHP Nick Green and RHP Kasey Olenberger to minor-league camp.
Analysis: This minor-league arms are not top prospects and can be ignored in all Fantasy leagues at this point. They would be nothing more than stopgap middle relievers if they get a call-up later this season.
