Orioles' Todd Redmond: Signs minor league deal with Orioles

Redmond signed a minor league contract with the Orioles on Tuesday, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports. The veteran righty's contract comes with an invite to spring training. He has a 4.81 ERA in 76.2 innings as a starter and a 3.80 ERA in 94.2 innings as a reliever. At 30 years old, the ship has probably sailed on him making it as a starter, so he will look to offer organizational bullpen depth for Baltimore.

Todd Redmond: Will become free agent

Redmond will elect to become a free agent, Ben Nicholson-Smith of reports. Redmond bounced between Triple-A and the Blue Jays' 40-man roster multiple times this season, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Redmond will look to catch on with another team this offseason. He will likely file in as bullpen depth for a club in 2016, but the lack of high-leverage opportunities will surely extinguish much of his fantasy value.

Blue Jays bring up relievers Rob Rasmussen, Todd Redmond

The Blue Jays have promoted left-hander Rob Rasmussen and right-hander Todd Redmond from Triple-A Buffalo. His ERA was at 1.61 until he allowed five runs on five hits in his last 2 2/3 innings pitched. Redmond has not performed well at Buffalo. He has yielded at least one earned run in seven of his last 10 appearances and owns a 4.81 ERA on the year.
