Mesa went 5 for 13 in his brief time with the Yankees last season while also hitting .261/.295/.452 with 13 home runs, 39 RBI and 13 stolen bases in 314 at-bats with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

      Reds complete roster for opener

      The Reds made several moves to finalize their roster for the regular season, reassigning second baseman Emmanuel Burriss, catcher Corky Miller and outfielders Denis Phipps and Derrick Robinson to their minor-league camp.
