    • Rays finalize 25-man roster

News: The following players did not make the Rays opening day roster as reported on Sunday: C Craig Albernaz, RP R.J. Swindle, RP Jason Cromer and RP Joaquin Benoit.
Analysis: These players are nothing more than organizational depth at this point and don't have any Fantasy value at this time.
    • Rays hand out 8 spring invites

News: The Rays signed the following players to minor league deals and invited them to spring training in Port Charlotte, Fla., in February: first baseman Chris R. Richard; right-handed pitchers Winston Abreu, Joe Bateman, Jeff Bennett and Richard De Los Santos; and left-handed pitchers Jason Cromer, Carlos E. Hernandez and R.J. Swindle.
Analysis: These players are nothing more than organizational depth at this point and don't have any Draft Day value right now. Ignore them. Hernandez was once a top pitching prospect, but he has been setback by injuries over the years.
    • Rays cut seven from camp

News: The Rays assigned RP Chad Orvella, RP Jason Cromer, RP Neal Frontz, RP Calvin Medlock, C Craig Albernaz and C Nevin Ashley to minor league camp on Tuesday and optioned James Houser to Triple-A Durham.
Analysis: Orvella was once a closer of the future. Now he is a Triple-A middle reliever. Ignore him, and all of these other guys, in all Fantasy leagues at this point.
    • Rays hand out slew of invites

News: The Tampa Bay Rays invited C Craig Albernaz, C Nevin Ashley, SS Timothy Beckham, LHP Jason Cromer, RHP Neal Frontz, LHP Carlos E. Hernandez, RHP Calvin Medlock, 3B Chris Nowak and C Matt Spring, RP Chad Orvella and RP Dewon Day to spring training.
Analysis: Beckham is the No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 draft, so he is a must-have in long-term keeper leagues. His player page should appear on CBSSports.com in the coming days. The rest of these players are nothing more than organizational depth at this point and are not expected to impact the Rays or Fantasy leagues this season. Ignore them on Draft Day.
