      Rangers hand out minor-league contracts

      The Rangers signed third baseman Brent Lillibridge, second baseman Josh Wilson, third baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff, right-hander Armando Rodriguez and right-hander Doug Mathis to minor-league contracts Thursday. Lillibridge, Wilson, Kouzmanoff and Rodriguez also received invitations to spring training. Kouzmanoff is the most notable of these players, having hit 15-plus homers in four straight seasons from 2007 to 2010. But the 32-year-old hasn't played in the majors since 2011, which he split between the Athletics and the Rockies.
