      Royals' Travis Snider: Signs minor-league deal with Royals

      Snider signed a minor-league deal with the Royals on Saturday, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports. This will be Snider's third team in two years, after a season split between Baltimore and Pittsburgh. The veteran is still only 27, but he is going to have to improve several facets of his game to find a regular role with the Royals, which already features Alex Gordon, Jarrod Dyson, and Paulo Orlando in the corner outfield.

      The Pirates have officially signed outfielder Travis Snider to a minor-league deal on Thursday. Snider, who was released by the Orioles last week, spent parts of three seasons with the Pirates. Snider was traded to Pittsburgh by the Blue Jays in the middle of the 2012 season. He stayed there until he was dealt to Baltimore prior to the start of the 2015 campaign. In his prior tenure with the Pirates, Snider hit .243 with 19 home runs.
