      Nationals announce another round of cuts for spring

      The Nationals have decided to option pitcher Taylor Jordan to Triple-A Syracuse and reassign pitcher Evan Meek and infielder Matt Stoke to their minor league camp, the team announced. Jordan posted a 3.38 ERA in four spring training appearances, allowing three runs on seven hits with four strikeouts. Meek had a 7.71 ERA over 4 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on five hits with four strikeouts. Stoke did not make an appearance in spring training.

      The Nationals have signed pitcher Evan Meek to a minor-league deal, according to MLB.com. The 31-year-old Meek spent last season moving between the majors and the minors with the Orioles.
