      The Giants recalled a trio of players from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday. Catcher Hector Sanchez , right-hander Cody Hall and infielder Nick Noonan have were all called to the big club as the rosters expanded. All three are expected to be in uniform and available for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers.

      The Yankees announced several roster moves on Thursday, per the team's official website. The team optioned right-hander Chase Whitley to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and optioned infielders Nick Noonan and Rob Refsnyder and catcher Eddy Rodriguez down to minor-league camp. Chase Whitley put together a dominant spring, but lost the fifth spot on the rotation to Adam Warren. He registered a 1.17 ERA over 15 1/3 innings of work.

      Report: Yankees sign INF Noonan to minor league deal

      The Yankees have signed former Giants infielder Nick Noonan to a minor league contract, a source has told the LoHud Yankees Blog. The former first-round pick has never reached his potential. He managed just a .237/.282/.303 slash line at the Triple-A level in 2014. Though he has played second base, the Yankees are reportedly seeking to convert him to shortstop.
