      Marlins' Dylan Axelrod: Inks spring deal with Marlins

      Axelrod signed a minor league deal with the Marlins that includes an invite to Spring Training, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports. Axelrod spent the last two seasons with the Reds, where he logged just over 30 innings in the majors. Over 105.2 frames at the Triple-A level, the right-hander posted a 4.68 ERA and 5.88 K/9. He'll look to catch on in a new organization, and the Marlins will benefit from a low-risk deal.

      The Reds recalled RHP Dylan Axelrod from Triple-A Louisville. Axelrod was 6-6 with a 4.05 ERA with Louisville, per the Cincinnati Enquirer. Axelrod will replace Manny Parra, who the Reds placed on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained left elbow. The team currently has no timetable for Parra's return.
