Giants' Conor Gillaspie: Signs minor league contract with Giants

Gillaspie has signed a minor league contract with the Giants, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports. After a poor offensive 2015 campaign spent with the White Sox and the Angels, Gillaspie was DFA'd by the Angels and entered free agency in the offseason. It's possible the utility infielder will receive an invitation to big league spring training, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he ends up in the minors to begin the 2016 season.
