    Christian Garcia enters spring training healthy

    Nationals pitcher Christian Garcia is healthy heading into spring training after missing most of 2013 with forearm and hamstring injuries, MASNsports.com reports. Garcia made his MLB debut in 2012, when he surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out 15 in 12 2/3 innings. He also enjoyed a banner season in the minors that year, going 2-1 with a 0.86 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 66:17 K:BB ratio in 52 1/3 innings between Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Syracuse. However, the 2013 season was a lost one for Garcia, who pitched just 13 1/3 innings across three minor-league levels while battling various injuries. The reliever will be battling this spring for a spot in the team's opening day bullpen.
