    The Brewers recalled first baseman Jason Rogers and outrighted second baseman Hector Gomez to Triple-A on Friday, the team announced. Rogers hit .236 with two home runs and seven RBI in 89 at-bats for the Brewers this season. Gomez continued to struggle for Milwaukee, hitting just .181 with one home run and seven RBI in 127 at-bats.

    Jean Segura scratched from Brewers lineup, replaced by Hector Gomez

    Brewers infielder Hector Gomez forced to exit Wednesday's game against the Cardinals in the bottom of the sixth inning. Gomez, who was starting at third base, dove into the stands along the third-base line chasing down a foul pop up. Gomez was checked out by the training staff for a number of minutes and he was able to walk off on his own power. He was replaced by Luis Sardinas. The team has indicated that Gomez was removed for precautionary reasons and that he does not have a concussion, according to MLB.com.

    Brewers' Elian Herrera, Hector Gomez will split time at second

    The Brewers will have Elian Herrera and Hector Gomez split playing time at second base for the forseeable future. "I'm going to take it on a nightly basis," manager Craig Counsell said, per the Journal Sentinel. "There's no pre-set guy that's going to get the bulk of the playing time. We'll go with it every night and see what happens." "I think Hector is a tremendous defender. That's the biggest plus that he brings," Counsell said. "Elian is a switch-hitter, which is nice to have. They've both shown extra-base hit potential."

    CF Carlos Gomez back at top of lineup for Brewers

    One day after a scary incident in which he was hit in the head with a fastball, Carlos Gomez is back in his familiar spot atop the Brewers lineup Monday as they prepare to face the Tigers at Comerica Park. Gomez did not suffer a concussion, just a facial contusion, and so he will be back in center field for the Brewers. With the DH in play, Aramis Ramirez will give up his customary third base position to Elian Herrera. Milwaukee designated second baseman Scooter Gennett for assignment Monday, giving the second base job to the time being to Hector Gomez, who will hit eighth.

    Brewers shortstop Hector Gomez went 2 for 3 at the plate in Milwaukee's 4-3 win over the Dodgers on Monday. Gomez started things off in the sixth inning when he tripled to right field, his first of the season. He scored on the very next at-bat when Gerardo Parra tripled to center. Then in the eighth, Gomez ripped a solo shot off of Calyton Kershaw over the left center field wall, his first of the season. Gomez moved his average to .250 with five RBI in 40 at-bats this season.
