    • Twins trim back spring roster

News: The following Twins were reassigned to minor league camp: Left-handed pitcher Jose Lugo, catchers Jair Fernandez and Danny Rams, infielder Steve Singleton and outifielder Rene Tosoni.
Analysis: These players figure to spend the 2010 season in the minors and are not long-term keeper options at this point. Ignore them on Draft Day.
    • Lugo will miss time

News: Twins RP Jose Lugo will be shut down for at least one or two days due to a sore biceps.
Analysis: Lugo has been a decent strikeout pitcher in the minors, but he is nothing more than organizational depth for the Twins. Ignore him in all Fantasy formats.
    • Twins announce spring invites

News: The Minnesota Twins have announced the following spring training invitees: outfielders Ben Revere, Rene Tosoni and Juan Portes; infielders Chris Parmelee, Brock Peterson, Steve Singleton and Brian Dinkelman; catchers Jair Fernandez, Danny Lehmann and Danny Rams; and pitchers Kyle Waldrop, Anthony Slama, Mike Maroth and Jose Lugo.
Analysis: Revere, Parmelee, Waldrop, Tosoni and Slama are the best prospects of this group, but they are merely minor league stashees. We fully expect all of these players to not make the team and open the year in the minors.
    • M's return Rule-5 pick Lugo to Twins

News: The Mariners outrighted UTL Mike Morse to Triple-A Tacoma and returned LHP Jose Lugo to the Twins from the Rule-5 Draft.
Analysis: Lugo has a decent arm, but he is nothing more than organizational depth at this point in his career. Ignore him in all Fantasy leagues right now.
    • RP Lugo picked, dealt to Mariners

News: The Royals selected left-handed pitcher Jose Lugo from the Triple-A Rochester roster of the Twins in the Rule-5 draft and traded him to Seattle for cash. The 6-foot-1, 160-pound reliever is a native of San Pedro de Macoris in the Dominican Republic.
Analysis: Lugo, 24, was 2-6, 4.04 with a save in 51 games with high Class A Fort Myers (A) in 2008. In 69 innings, he allowed just 68 hits while and struck out 76 while walking only 33. If he makes the team, he will be nothing more than a low-end middle reliever for the deepest of AL-only leagues that use true middle men. Ignore him on Draft Day.
