    Angels sign Dustin Richardson to minor-league deal

    The Angels agreed to a minor-league contract with independent-league pitcher Dustin Richardson, who will join Triple-A Salt Lake, MLB.com reports. Richardson, 29, last pitched in the majors for the Red Sox in 2010. He allowed just one earned run on eight hits and two walks in 8 2/3 innings with Sugar Land of the Atlantic League this season.
