White Sox sign Jason Berken to a minor-league deal

The White Sox have signed pitcher Jason Berken, and assigned him to Triple-A Charlotte. Berken spent 19 2/3 innings in the majors last season, posting a 5.49 ERA. He's been used as a starter most of his minor-league career, although he also has some experience out of the bullpen. He will likely provide depth if the team struggles with injuries.
