Shane Robinson: Expects to sign minor-league deal with Indians

Robinson is expected to sign a minor-league contract with the Indians, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. The Indians are in need of outfield help after Michael Brantley underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder two weeks ago, so Robinson could provide some depth in case Brantley's rehab extends into the beginning of the regular season. His poor .237/.302/.313 career slash line likely indicate the 31-year-old won't provide much fantasy production, but he will likely have an opportunity to make the Opening Day roster if he plays well during spring training.
