Hosmer had just one hit in the game against the Angels, but it was a big two-run home run in the sixth inning.       Royals Hosmer, Escobar leave Sunday's game with injuries

      Royals infielders Eric Hosmer and Alcides Escobar both left Sunday's game due to finger injuries, per the Kansas City Star. Hosmer, who was playing DH on Sunday due to a strained left ring finger he suffered while sliding into second base Saturday, was 0-for-3 before being replaced by Lorenzo Cain. The Royals said that Escobar suffered a right index finger split nail bed after taking a ground ball off his finger and was replaced by Christian Colon as a precautionary measure. Manager Ned Yost said that Hosmer would get the day off Monday, while Escobar is confident he can return to the lineup.
