Padres' Derek Norris: Signs one-year deal with Padres, avoiding arbitration

Norris agreed to a one-year, $2.95 million contract with the Padres on Thursday, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports. Norris continues to serve as a workhorse behind the dish, playing 128 of his 147 games there. He's set to serve in the same role again in 2016, and will look to post a similar season as his 2015 campaign, which would once again keep him among the better options for fantasy catchers.
