      Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said Monday outfielder Domonic Brown is likely to open the season on the disabled list, per Brown has been sidelined since leaving a March 19 spring game due to Achillies tendinitis.       According to Baseball America, the Yankees signed first baseman/outfielder Russ Canzler to a minor league deal. Canzler spent part of last offseason with the Yankees, but he was designated for assignment prior to spring training. Spending the 2013 season with the Triple-A affiliates for the Orioles and Pirates, Canzler hit .252 with 12 home runs and 62 RBI.
