      Indians send RP Rzepczynski to Padres for OF Abraham Almonte

      The Indians have traded left-handed reliever Marc Rzepczynski to the Padres for center fielder Abraham Almonte, per ESPN. Rzepczynski has struggled this year after two strong seasons in Cleveland. His 4.43 ERA, if maintained, would be his worst since 2010. The 26-year-old Almonte is hitting just .204 for San Diego this year and is batting .233 in 330 big-league at-bats.

Rzepczynski started the eighth inning and gave up a double and two singles, all on the first pitch. He gave up a run without retiring a batter.       Marc Rzepczynski picks up four out save

      Indians pitcher Marc Rzepczynski picked up a four out save Saturday against the Twins. Rzepczynski entered with a four-run lead, but two men on base. He was able to strike out Oswaldo Arcia to end the eighth inning. Rzepczynski would come out in the ninth, and got through the inning with no issues. He struck out the first two hitters he faced and forced a groundout against the final batter. It was his first save of the season.

      Indians pitcher Marc Rzepczynski (0-3) was charged with the loss Thursday night against the Royals. Rzepczynski was charged with the walkoff run in the 14th inning.
