Royals send Noel Arguelles to Triple-A
The Royals outrighted pitcher Noel Arguelles to Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday. Arguelles made 11 starts and 14 relief appearances for Double-A Northwest Arkansas in 2013, and he went 1-8 with 5.93 ERA.

Royals add four to 40-man roster, DFA two
The Royals added infielders Christian Colon and Chelsor Cuthbert, outfielder Lane Adams and pitcher Michael Mariot to the 40-man roster Wednesday while also designating infielder Irving Falu and pitcher Noel Arguelles for assignment. Colon hit .273/.335/.379 with 12 home runs, 58 RBI and 15 stolen bases in 512 at-bats with Triple-A Omaha. Cuthbert hit .247/.316/.387 with eight home runs and 59 RBI in 518 at-bats between high Class A Wilmington and Double-A Northwest Arkansas. Adams hit .265/.353/.415 with 12 home runs, 65 RBI and 38 stolen bases in 479 at-bats between high Class A Wilmington and Double-A Northwest Arkansas. Mariot went 4-5 with a 3.56 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 66:25 K:BB ratio in 60 2/3 innings with Triple-A Omaha. Falu went 1 for 4 in one appearance with the Royals while hitting .256/.320/.329 with two home runs, 31 RBI and 20 stolen bases in 508 at-bats in his fifth season with Triple-A Omaha. Arguelles went 1-8 with a 5.93 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and 44:53 K:BB ratio in 71 1/3 innings with Double-A Northwest Arkansas.

Royals activate Noel Arguelles to pitch in Arizona Fall League
The Royals have activated pitcher Noel Arguelles from the 60-day disabled list, MLB.com reports. Arguelles missed much of the season due to a groin injury, as he threw just 71 1/3 innings with a 5.93 ERA at Double-A Northwest Arkansas. He will pitch in the Arizona Fall League in order to make up some of the lost time.

Royals make flurry of roster moves Tuesday
The Kansas City Royals promoted the following six players to the roster Tuesday before a game against Seattle, the Kansas City Star reports. As expected, Louis Coleman and Wade Davis have rejoined the bullpen from Class A Wilmington. The Royals also promoted for Triple-A Omaha players as infielder Johnny Giavotella and reliever Donnie Joseph were recalled and Carlos Pena and Pedro Ciriaco had their contracts purchased. Kansas City cleared space on the 40-man roster by moving pitcher Noel Arguelles to the 60-day disabled list and designating infielder Edinson Rincon for assignment. Rincon was at Double-A Northwest Arkansas.

Royals shut down Arguelles
The Kansas City Star reports the Royals have reassigned SP prospect Noel Arguelles from Class A Wilmington to their spring training facility in Surprise, Ariz. Arugelles is healthy, but he has reached his inning limit and will likely be shut down for the rest of the season.
