    • Friedrich among Rockies cuts Tuesday

News: The Rockies optioned Michael McKenry to the Triple-A Colorado Springs Sky Sox on Tuesday. The following players were also reassigned to minor league camp: pitchers Craig Baker, Andrew Johnston, Andrew Graham and Christian Friedrich; catchers Jordan Pacheco and Wilin Rosario; infielders Darin Holcomb and Jeff Kindel; and outfielder Chris Frey.
Analysis: Friedrich is an elite pitching prospect who could impact all Fantasy leagues by June 1. The others are likely to spend the entire year down in the minors, so ignore them on Draft Day in most formats.
    • Baker back on the mound Saturday

News: Rockies RP Craig Baker, who strained his side muscle last weekend, was back on the mound Saturday against the Brewers.
Analysis: Baker has just an outside shot of making the Rockies squad out of spring and shouldn't be drafted in any Fantasy format.
    • C. Baker hurts himself bunting

News: The Denver Post reports that Rockies RP Craig Baker strained a side muscle over the weekend while slug-bunting.
Analysis: Baker went 4-2 with a 2.32 ERA with 33 saves for Class Modesto in 2009. That's a solid number of saves at any level, but Baker has just an outside shot of making the Rockies squad and shouldn't be drafted in any Fantasy format.
    • Rockies announce more spring invites

News: The Rockies have announced the following non-roster invitations to spring training: pitchers Christian Friedrich, Craig Baker, Andrew Graham, Andrew Johnston and Juan Rincon; catchers Jordan Pacheco and Wilin Rosario; infielders Jonathan Herrera, Darin Holcomb, Jeff Kindel, Michael Paulk and Omar Quintanilla; and outfielders Chris Frey, Cole Garner and Matt J. Miller.
Analysis: Friedrich is an elite pitching prospect, while Rosario is an intriguing catcher prospect and the outfielders have some long-term potential, too. We don't expect any of these players to make the team out of spring training at this point.
