Mets' Marc Krauss: Gets invite to Mets' spring training

Krauss signed a minor league contract with the Mets on Monday that includes an invitation to spring training, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports. Krauss saw major league action on three different teams last season, but couldn't manage to hit enough to stay on a roster. He'll get a shot at a spot in Mets spring training, and could stand a shot with little depth at first base behind Lucas Duda. However, he'll need to prove he can swing the bat at the major league level if he wants to stick.
