      Jeremy Hefner undergoes second Tommy John surgery

      Former Mets starting pitcher Jeremy Hefner tweeted Thursday he was slated to undergo his second Tommy John surgery in the last 14 months. Hefner, who underwent his first Tommy John surgery in August 2013, re-injured his ulnar collateral ligament and also suffered a stress fracture in his right ulna bone as he was rehabbing from his first surgery.
