Marlins put OF Christian Yelich (knee) on 15-day disabled list

Marlins outfielder Christian Yelich has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right knee contusion. The move was made retroactive to August 10. Yelich hasn't played a game in nearly a week while he has been dealing with the knee injury. It's possible that Yelich could return this season, but with the Marlins firmly out of contention, they likely won't rush him back. This is Yelich's second trip to the DL, as he missed time earlier this year with a back injury. In 346 at-bats, Yelich is batting .275 with six home runs in 2015. To take his spot on the roster, fellow outfielder Marcell Ozuna was recalled from Triple-A.
