      Giants hand out 26 non-roster spring invites

      The Giants announced Monday they extended non-roster invitations to 26 players. They were 16 pitchers, four catchers, four infielders and two outfielders. The pitchers included prospects Clayton Blackburn, Tyson Blach and Kyle Crick. The remaining non-roster pitchers include Jason Berken, Brett Bochy, Jose Casilla, Rafael Dolis, J.C. Gutierrez, Chris Heston, Derek Law, Mitch Lively, Kameron Loe, Adam Reifer, Sandy Rosario, Dan Runzler and Mason Tobin. The position players included prospects Joe Panik and Mac Williamson. The other non-roster position players include Jeff Arnold, Guillermo Quiroz, Andrew Susac, Ben Turner, Chris Dominguez, Brandon Hicks, Mark Minicozzi and Javier Herrera.

      Giants non-tender two Monday

      The Giants tendered contracts to all but two of their arbitration-eligible players prior to Monday's deadline. Outfielder Francisco Peguero , recently designated for assignment, and pitcher Sandy Rosario were both non-tendered and will become free agents.

      Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Friday that pitcher Sandy Rosario is unlikely to return this season, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Rosario left Tuesday's game with a hip injury after walking the only batter he faced. He's due to finish the season with a 3-2 record, 3.02 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 24:20 K:BB ratio in 41 2/3 innings.

      Giants reliever Sandy Rosario was forced out of Tuesday's contest against the Mets after suffering a hip injury. He walked a leadoff batter in the ninth inning before leaving the game. Sergio Romo took over for Rosario in the ninth. Rosario was charged with one run without recording an out. The Giants have not provided any further details on his injury.

      Giants reliever Sandy Rosario is dealing with a bruised sternum, according to Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.Rosario left Thursday's game in the seventh inning after he took a line drive to the ribs/chest region. It remains uncertain how long he will be sidelined for. Rosario owned a 2.70 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP in 33 1/3 innings of relief.
