      Dodgers outright Stephen Fife to Triple-A

      The Dodgers sent pitcher Stephen Fife outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City Monday after he cleared waivers, reports. Fife will likely be sidelined for the entire 2015 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in August.

      Dodgers send Stephen Fife to DL, add Daniel Coulombe

      The Dodgers recalled pitcher Stephen Fife from Triple-A Albuquerque Tuesday and placed him on the 60-day disabled list. He underwent Tommy John surgery in August. The move opens up a 40-man roster spot for pitcher Daniel Coulombe, who was brought up from Double-A Chattanooga in a corresponding move. Coulombe has posted a 2.89 ERA and 92:27 K:BB ratio in 65 1/3 innings between high class A Rancho Cucamonga and Chattanooga.

      Dodgers right-hander Stephen Fife is to undergo Tommy John surgery Wednesday, nearly three months after landing on the minor league disabled list with forearm tightness. The 27-year-old Fife contributed a 4-4 record and 3.86 ERA for Los Angeles in 2013, but has been limited to just one spot start this year.

      Stephen Fife struggles in no decision Sunday

      Dodgers pitcher Stephen Fife didn't have his best stuff Sunday against the Marlins. Outfielder Giancarlo Stanton proved to be a tough out for Fife. Stanton clubbed two home runs off Fife during the game, driving in three runs. Fife also allowed a solo shot to Christian Yelich during the appearance. Fife went six innings, allowing seven hits and four earned runs. He walked one and struck out five. Fife was in line to earn the loss, but the Dodgers bailed him out with a ninth inning comeback. He received a no decision. It's unclear if Fife will make another start, but he's in line to face the Giants if the club decides to keep him up.

He has not pitched past the third inning in any of his last three starts. His next start has not yet been scheduled.
