    Santo Manzanillo back on minor-league deal

    The Brewers signed relief pitcher Santo Manzanillo to a minor-league deal Thursday. They had outrighted the right-hander off the 40-man roster earlier this offseason. Manzanillo had a 5.83 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and 5.4 strikeouts per nine innings in 46 appearances between high Class A and Double-A last season.

    Brewers outright Santo Manzanillo to Triple-A

    The Brewers outrighted pitcher Santo Mazanillo to Triple-A Nashville Wednesday, clearing a spot on the 40-man roster. Manzanillo made 46 relief appearances between high Class A and Double-A in 2013, going 1-8 with a 5.83 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and 35:39 K:BB ratio in 58 2/3 innings.

    Brewers pitcher Santo Manzanillo made his first appearance of the spring on Sunday against the Rockies. He relieved starter Yovani Gallardo in the fourth inning and gave up just one hit while pitching two thirds of a scoreless inning. Manzanillo was involved in a traffic accident in December that left him unable to move his right arm.
