      The San Francisco Giants announced Monday they will be recalling eight players from the minors on Tuesday prior to a game at San Diego, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.       The San Francisco Giants made a handful of roster moves Thursday, recalling catcher Hector Sanchez and reliever Jake Dunning, designating reliever Ramon Ramirez and optioning first baseman Brett Pill. Sanchez was hitting .320 in Triple-A and Dunning had a 1.75 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in 36 Triple-A innings. Ramirez pitched 5 2/3 innings for the Giants out of relief, giving up seven earned runs. Pill hit .148 in 27 at-bats for San Francisco, with a home run and two doubles.

      Giants ship 20 players to minors

      The San Francisco Giants completed another round of roster cuts Friday, optioning pitchers Dan Otero, Jake Dunning, Chris Heston and Sandy Rosario, shortstops Ehire Adrianza and Nick Noonan and outfielders Roger Kieschnick and Juan Perez to Triple-A Fresno.
