    Phillies call up Seth Rosin, DFA Phillippe Aumont

    The Phillies purchased the contract of pitcher Seth Rosin , the team announced on Saturday. Rosin appeared in three games with Texas last season in his only other MLB experience. He was 2-1 with three saves and a 2.65 ERA at Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season. To make room, the Phillies designated pitcher Phillippe Aumont for assignment. Aumont suffered a loss in his only appearance with the Phillies.

    Phillies re-assign Mike Nesseth, Seth Rosin to minor league camp

    The Phillies have re-assigned pitchers Mike Nesseth and Seth Rosin to their minor league camp, the team announced Monday. Rosin made just one appearance in the majors in 2014, throwing four innings and posting a 6.75 ERA with three strikeouts. Nesseth has yet to make an appearance in the big leagues.

"Rosin looks like he's got a real good idea, he knows how to make adjustments and he could be a surprise in spring training," Howell said of the 6-foot-6, 250-pound Rosin. "Kenley Jansen was there and Seth was able to see a big-body guy and see his philosophy and watch him throw."

    Seth Rosin winds up with Dodgers

    The Mets selected right-hander Seth Rosin from the Phillies organization in the Rule 5 draft Thursday and then traded him to the Dodgers for cash. Rosin was primarily a starter at Double-A Reading last year, going 9-6 with a 4.33 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 6.8 strikeouts per nine innings in 126 2/3 innings.
