      White Sox sign Nick Delmonico to minor-league deal

      The White Sox have assigned infielder Nick Delmonico to a minor-league deal, per Baseball America. Delmonico earned a 50-game suspension last season after testing positive for an amphetamine and was released by the Brewers last week. He hit .262/.300/.404 with four home runs and 15 RBI in 141 at-bats with high Class A Brevard County in 2014.

      Brewers minor-league infielder Nick Delmonico has been suspended 50 games. Delmonico tested positive for an amphetamine. He was acquired by the club last season in the Francisco Rodriguez deal. Delmonico was hitting .262 ove 141 at-bats in Class A.

      O's acquire Francisco Rodriguez

      The Orioles acquired reliever Francisco Rodriguez from the Brewers for minor-league infielder Nick Delmonico, according to the Tuesday. Rodriguez converted 10 saves with the Brewers and owns a 1.09 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP through 24 2/3 innings of relief. Delmonico batted .244/.351/.471 with 13 home runs and 30 RBI in 60 games at Class A Frederick.

      Orioles catcher Nick Delmonico is not in Class A Frederick's lineup after being hit in the head with a pitch Wednesday. The move is considered precautionary. Delmonico does not have a concussion, so it doesn't look like he'll miss significant time. Delmonico is hitting .254/.361/.493 in 209 at-bats.

      Baltimore position prospect Nick Delmonico enters the 2013 season as the No. 5 overall prospect in the organization, reports Delmonico is the second-best hitting prospect behind Jonathan Schoop. He can play first or second base, but projects at first for the time being. The 20-year-old was the Orioles' sixth round draft pick in 2011 out of high school and spent last year, his first as a pro, at Class A Delmarva.
