Rangers 2B Rougned Odor hits two-run HR vs. Astros

Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor went 2 for 3 with a two-run homer and two runs scored against the Astros on Wednesday. If you project Odor's stats over 162 games, he has 22 home runs, 86 RBI and 70 runs from the second base position. This from a 21-year-old who didn't even get his bat going until June. Great things are coming from Odor. Enjoy his productivity down the stretch and make sure you're the one who reaches a little for him on draft day next year.

Rangers' Rougned Odor leaves with finger injury; X-rays negative

Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor left Tuesday's game in the seventh inning with an apparent finger injury. Odor attempted to field a grounder by Kevin Pillar in the sixth, and appeared to injure the finger on the play. He was lifted for a defensive replacement in the top of the seventh. Odor had gone 2 for 3 with a double and a solo home run before leaving with the injury. The home run was his 11th of the season, and his second in the last three games. Odor underwent X-rays after the game, which came back negative. He should be considered day-to-day for now, though the team has not declared if Odor will be able to go on Wednesday.

Rolling Rougned Odor rips up Rockies for Rangers

Nobody was forced to research if any player had ever committed two errors and hit for the cycle in the same game Wednesday. That's because Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor merely walked in the ninth inning in Colorado. Odor, who had indeed erred on a grounder and a throw, made up for it and then some at the plate. He remained on a roll with the finest performance of his career. He singled and scored in the first, slammed a solo homer in the second, tripled in a run in the seventh and walked and scored in the eighth. He has been tearing it up since returning from the minors in mid-June. He is batting .367 (40-for-108) during that stretch and has scored 12 runs in his last 12 games.
