Zunino is expected to open 2016 at Triple-A Tacoma, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports. General manager Jerry Dipoto confirmed what was widely assumed after the team acquired both Chris Iannetta and Steve Clevenger within the past nine days. Zunino fell apart last season, striking out in 34.2 percent of his plate appearances, ultimately finishing with a .174 average and a .230 OBP. Zunino hit a solo home run, his eighth of the year, in the eighth inning off Garrett Richards. "He's got such a great arm. To me, you've just got to try to get on the fastball," Zunino said, per MLB.com. "That's your best chance to hit something because his slider is so good.
