He then set out to learn a knuckleball. The 30-year-old Clark struggled mightily last season at various levels of the minors with a 3-15 overall record and 7.84 ERA. He gave up 75 walks in 111 1/3 innings.

    The Orioles pitcher Zach Clark was placed on the minor-league disabled list with a hamstring injury Thursday.Clark, who made his major-league debut earlier this season, is expected to travel to the team's spring complex in Sarasota, Fla. to work on converting to a knuckleball pitcher.
