Pirates' Trey Haley: Signs one-year deal with Pirates
Haley signed a one-year contract with the Pirates on Thursday. The 25-year-old Haley has spent his entire career in the Indians organization working primarily out of the bullpen in recent years. He posted a 2.45 ERA with 60 strikeouts and 32 walks in 55 innings last season across Double and Triple-A. According to Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune he has been added to the Pirates' 40-man roster.

Indians outright Trey Haley
MLB.com reports that the Indians outrighted reliever Trey Haley, who cleared waivers, to Triple-A Columbus on Monday. Haley made 39 appearances with Double-A Akron in 2013, and he went 1-4 with a 4.70 ERA and seven saves.

The Indians designated right-hander Trey Haley for assignment Thursday, clearing a 40-man roster spot for newly signed John Axford. Haley had a 4.70 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 9.4 strikeouts per nine innings in 39 appearances for Double-A Akron last season.

Indians reduce roster
The Indians optioned Tim Fedroff, Trey Haley, T.J. House, Chen-Chang Lee and Danny Salazar to Triple-A Columbus Monday. The team also reassigned Fernando Nieve and Roberto Perez to minor-league camp.
