      The Reds have released pitcher Matt Magill, the team announced Sunday. The move clears a 40-man roster spot for Nate Adcock, who was added to the active roster on Sunday.       The Dodgers optioned pitcher Matt Magill and reassigned catcher J.C. Boscan, pitcher Carlos Frias and infielders Brendan Harris and Clint Robinson to minor-league camp Monday, reports. McGill recorded two outs Monday without giving up a hit or a walk, and he finishes his spring with one earned run in 5 2/3 innings along with six strikeouts and two walks. Boscan went 1 for 4 with two walks in five games, while Frias surrendered three earned runs on four hits and one walk without recording an out Monday, leaving him with a 15.00 ERA. Harris went 0 for 1 Monday and finishes camp 3 for 19 with three walks. Robinson also went 0 for 1 Monday and ends his spring 8 for 23 with one home run.

      Dodgers pitcher Matt Magill has been placed on the minor-league disabled list with right forearm tightness, the Los Angeles Times reports. Magill was pulled from Wednesday's start after just two innings, leading to speculation he could be called up to pitch Sunday against the Padres. Magill is 0-2 with a 6.51 ERA and 26:28 K:BB ratio in 27 2/3 innings with the Dodgers.

      Dodgers pitcher Matt Magill suffered his second loss of the season Sunday afternoon against the Braves. Magill (0-2) allowed four runs in the third, including a three-run home run to Dan Uggla. He also gave up a bases-clearing double to Freddie Freeman in the fourth. The right-hander was charged with seven runs -- three earned -- on four hits and six walks while striking out two in 3 2/3 innings of an 8-1 loss.
