      Nationals' Michael Brady: Traded to Nationals

      Brady was included in Thursday's trade that also sent Trevor Gott to the Nationals in exchange for Yunel Escobar, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports. Brady spent the 2015 season at Double-A Arkansas, posting a 3.77 ERA to go with 113 strikeouts and just 12 walks over 119.1 innings. The six-foot right-hander will be 29 at the beginning of the season and will look to compete for bullpen spot at Triple-A in all likelihood.

He recorded 23 saves in 2013.

      Marlins take 12 players off spring roster

      The Marlins took 12 players off their spring roster Wednesday, per The Miami Herald. Among the cuts were top pitching prospects Justin Nicolino and Anthony DeSclafani, who were reassigned to minor-league camp. Jesus Sanchez, Colby Suggs and Avery Romero were also reassigned to minor-league camp, while Michael Brady and Kyle Jensen were optioned to Triple-A New Orleans. Grant Dayton, Angel Sanchez, Jose Urena, Jacob Realmuto and Brent Keys were optioned to Double-A Jacksonville.
