Reds high on outfielder Jesse Winker

Reds minor league outfielder Jesse Winker provided some optimism for the organization last season by batting .281 with 16 home runs and 76 RBI for Class A Dayton despite losing time to a high ankle sprain. "He's really taken to studying and trying to perfect his craft," Reds player development director Jeff Graupe told "For being a 19-year-old in the Midwest League last year, he took consistently quality at-bats. You don't see a strikeout-to-walk ratio that successful while still doing damage and having a good slugging percentage." Winker fanned 75 times with 63 walks in 2013.
