      Dodgers summon RP Yimi Garcia from Triple-A

      The Dodgers have recalled reliever Yimi Garcia from Triple-A Oklahoma City. The rookie right-hander spent the first three-plus months with the Dodgers before being sent down to the minors at the beginning of July. Since then, he's gone back-and-forth between Triple-A and the Major Leagues a couple of times. Overall, he is 3-3 with a 3.55 ERA in 46 appearances--including one start--for the Dodgers in 2015.

      The Dodgers announced Monday they have optioned reliever Yimi Garcia to Triple-A Oklahoma City and expect to activate pitcher Juan Nicasio upon the completion of his 15-day disabled list stint. Garcia is 3-3 with a 3.55 ERA in 46 appearances this season, including one save and one start. Nicasio is 1-3 with one save and a 3.06 ERA in 38 games.

      Dodgers pitcher Yimi Garcia failed to convert a save when he allowed a two-run home run to Marlins outfielder Christian Yelich during Monday's 5-3 win. Garcia entered with a one-run lead in the ninth, but he surrendered two runs on two walks and two hits. Garcia was pulled after recording two outs in the inning. It was his second blown save this season. "He was due for one of those outings," manager Don Mattingly said after the game, per the Orange County Register. Despite blowing the lead, the Dodgers were able to win the game on a three-run home run from Scott Van Slyke in the bottom of the ninth inning.
