Dodgers' Yimi Garcia: Transferred to 60-day DL Friday

Garcia (biceps) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Friday, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports. With the Dodgers calling up top-prospect Julio Urias, a spot on the 40-man roster needed to be cleared. Considering there is still no timetable for Garcia's return, he was an obvious candidate to be sent to the 60-day DL to clear a spot. He'll stay on the 60-day DL as long as he continues to make little to no progress in his rehab program.

Dodgers' Yimi Garcia: Yet to resume throwing

Garcia (biceps) has yet to resume throwing, and no return date is in sight, the Dodgers' official site reports. Garcia last pitched back on April 23, and it's obviously not a good sign that he's yet to pick up a baseball. He remains out indefinitely.

Dodgers' Yimi Garcia: Placed on 15-day DL

Garcia (biceps) was placed on the 15-day DL on Saturday, the Los Angeles Times' Andy McCullough reports. He said his bicep felt like it was "asleep" and he was forced out of Friday's game with the ailment. It makes sense that the team would prefer to shut him down for a couple weeks and get another arm up to help out in the bullpen, rather than carry Garcia on the roster for several days without being able to use his services. Zach Lee was recalled as a corresponding move to pitch out of the bullpen, and Louis Coleman will return from the bereavement list Monday, and the two pitchers should be able to aptly cover for Garcia's absence.

Dodgers' Yimi Garcia: Shut down two more days

Garcia (biceps) will be shut down for at least two more days, J.P Hoonstra of the Southern California News Group reports. Garcia left Friday's outing with a sore right bicep and he told reporters that his right arm still feels "asleep" from the top of his bicep down to his wrist. He'll receive treatment over the next couple of days and the Dodgers figure to reassess him Monday.

Dodgers' Yimi Garcia: Diagnosed with biceps soreness

Garcia was diagnosed with right biceps soreness after leaving Friday's game against the Rockies, the Los Angeles Times' Andy McCullough reports. The Dodgers are still in the process of evaluating him and determining the next step, but it does not sound like Garcia will be available out of the bullpen for the rest of this weekend's series against Colorado.

Dodgers' Yimi Garcia: Leaves Friday with arm injury

Garcia left Friday's game with an apparent arm injury, the Los Angeles Times' Andy McCullough reports. He shook his arm and then left the game in the seventh inning after allowing a run and recording just two outs. His fastball velocity declined sharply over the course of his appearance Friday, topping out at 95 mph against the first batter he faced, and dipping to 90 mph with his final fastball. Stay tuned for an official diagnosis from the team.

Dodgers' Yimi Garcia: Returns to the mound Sunday

Garcia (knee) allowed a run and a hit over two-thirds of an inning Sunday. He missed nearly a week with left knee soreness, but that he pitched in a big league spring training game Sunday bodes well for his chances of being ready to work as part of the bridge to Kenley Jansen on Opening Day. Garcia also recorded a pair of strikeouts in the abbreviated outing.

Dodgers' Yimi Garcia: Scheduled to pitch Sunday

Garcia (knee) is scheduled to pitch Sunday, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports. Garcia was awarded a few days of rest due to a sore left knee, but he'll be back in action out of the bullpen Sunday afternoon. The right-handed reliever was able to throw a bullpen session Saturday without issues, and appears ready to throw himself back in the mix for the final available roster spot on the Dodgers.

Dodgers' Yimi Garcia: Sidelined by sore knee

Garcia has not pitched since Monday due to a sore left knee, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports. He's expected to return to action in the next few days. Garcia is already on the roster bubble, so sitting out a week of game action so close to Opening Day is not helping his case. He could start the year on the DL.

Dodgers' Yimi Garcia: Competing for roster spot

Garcia, likely competing with the likes of Pedro Baez for a roster spot, has a 2.45 ERA through 7.1 innings this spring. Garcia showed flashes of dominance last year in posting a 10.8 K/9 and 1.6 BB/9 at the big league level. Home runs were an issue at times, but Garcia should have a good shot at sticking this year.
