Jonathon Crawford winless despite strong showing

Tigers starting pitcher prospect Jonathon Crawford is winless through his first five starts (0-1) for Class A Connecticut, but it's not like the right-handed hurler has pitched poorly. The 2013 first-round pick (20th overall) has a 1.59 ERA and 0.97 WHIP in 11 1/3 innings. Crawford struck out a career-high five batters in 2 1/3 innings during a July 3 start. He has managed 15 strikeouts to four walks, while recording a .159 opponents' batting average. Crawford was considered the 24th-best prospect in the 2013 draft class by Baseball America.
