    Cubs chip away at roster

    The Cubs made another round of roster cuts Friday, moving the following players to their minor-league camp: pitchers Drew Carpenter, Casey Coleman, Jaye Chapman, Jensen Lewis and Blake Parker; outfielders Brian Bogusevic, Darnell McDonald and Johermyn Chavez; and infielders Edwin Maysonet and Brad Nelson. Chicago also optioned Chris Rusin to Triple-A Iowa. He could be a candidate for a spot start later in the season.
