Rangers' Colby Lewis: Agrees to one-year deal

Lewis and the Rangers agreed on a one-year, $6 million contract Friday, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. The deal is not official yet, as Lewis will need to pass a physical after undergoing surgery back in October to repair a torn meniscus. While that may not happen for a few weeks, Lewis is expected to be back with the Rangers, for whom he won 17 games over 33 starts last season. The veteran, who has been doing strengthening exercises of late, said he expects to be ready for the start of spring training.
