Homers in two straight games for Rangers' Shin-Soo Choo

Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo stayed hot Saturday, going 2 for 4 with a walk, two runs scored, two RBI and his 20th home run of the season. He's now got a two-game home run streak, a five-game RBI streak and a .425/.545/.644 slash line in September. Choo's surge has helped carry the Rangers to the top of the AL West, but he might need to stay locked in for another week if they're going to finish the job.

Rangers' Shin-Soo Choo stays hot with homer in win over Astros

Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo went 3 for 5 with a homer, three RBI and a run in Friday's win over Houston. It has been a tale of two seasons for Choo, who recorded a mediocre .221/.305/.384 slash line prior to the All-Star break. After the break, his line has hulked out to .349/.466/.552 and he ranks in the top 10 in hits, doubles, runs, batting average and on-base percentage among outfielders. He should be in your lineup each and every day.

Rangers' Shin-Soo Choo collects two hits in blowout win Saturday

Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo went 2 for 3 with two walks and a run scored in a 10-1 win over the Mariners on Saturday. Choo is on a ridiculous streak right now, as his on-base percentage is above .450 over his last 56 games. This was the player fantasy owners were expecting all season and it's a good sign for years to come. If he could get completely healthy and regain the steal potential he had in past seasons, Choo's value would rise exponentially.

Rangers OF Shin-Soo Choo continues hot streak in loss Friday

Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo went 3 for 4 in Friday's loss to the Mariners. The hits keep coming for Choo. Since Sept. 1, he is batting an incredible .444 with a .557 OBP and 15 runs scored. During that span, he has improved his season average from .249 to .271. Despite a rough start in Texas through last season and most of 2015, Choo deserves to be plugged into the lineup every day for the fantasy playoffs.

Rangers OF Sin-Soo Choo records four hits against Astros

Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo went 4 for 5 with two RBI and two runs against the Astros on Thursday. After a three-hit Wednesday, Choo one-upped himself in this one. He's putting together a late push to improveh is numbers -- the OBP is already looking solid at .364, but he's pulled his average up 14 points to .267 over the last seven games, and his OPS is over .800 again too. This is not the same Choo of the old days, especially with his steals having evaporated, but he's still providing credible fantasy production.

Shin-Soo Choo hits for cycle in Rangers' win

Rangers right fielder Shin-Soo Choo hit for the 259th cycle in MLB history. Choo went 4 for 5 with three runs scored and three RBI. "He has had some challenges this year, and he has answered a lot of them," manager Jeff Banister said, per "To see him end the night the way he has, his teammates cheering him on and yelling for him to go to third, it was great to see." Two of the last three AL cycles have come from Texas players. Alex Rios turned the trick in 2013. The Rockies gave up their first cycle since Scott Hairston victimized them in 2012.

Rangers RF Choo hopes confidence can get him out of slump

Rangers right fielder Shin-Soo Choo is struggling as of late, but he hopes a boost in confidence will help him find his groove again, according to Choo is hitting just .107 with seven strikeouts over his last nine games. His overall season hasn't been much better; a .221 average with 11 home runs, 38 RBI and 84 strikeouts. "Probably a little bit of confidence," Choo said, per "The confidence in his own game is what he needs," manager Jeff Banister said. "Choo still possesses all the qualities of a terrific player. I would say he needs confidence and consistency." Choo struggled much of last season and hoped this season he would turn over a new leaf, but it hasn't worked out that way thus far. "I thought last season was the worst in my career…injury, the team not doing something," Choo said. "It was not what I was looking for when I signed as a free agent. "This year has been worse than last year."
