    • Tigers cut nine from spring camp

News: The Tigers optioned RHP Virgil Vasquez and OF Brent Clevlen to Triple-A Toledo. Also, they reassigned RHP Freddy Dolsi, RHP Chris Lambert, RHP Preston Larrison, C Max Pierre, C Nick Trzesniak, IF Michael Hollimon and IF Scott Sizemore to minor league camp Tuesday.
Analysis: Vasquez figures to be a top option to replace an injured starter for the contending Tigers, which makes him an intriguing Triple-A prospect to hold or watch. The rest of these players are nothing more than organizational depth and can be ignored in all Fantasy leagues on Draft Day.
    • Tigers hand out spring invites

News: The Tigers signed RHP Preston Larrison, RHP Aquilino Lopez, RHP Matt Mantei, C Max St. Pierre and C Nick Trzesniak to minor league contracts with invitaitons to spring training. Also, they invited RHP Freddy Dolsi, RHP Jeff Gerbe, RHP Chris Lambert, C Joseph Bowen, C Dusty Ryan, C James Skelton, SS Mike Hollimon, 1B Jeff Larish, 2B Scott Sizemore, SS Daniel Worth, OF Matthew Joyce and OF Wilkin Ramirez to spring training.
Analysis: Sizemore has long-term potential as a long-term keeper option, but otherwise these guys are nothing more than organizational depth at this point in their career. Ignore them on Draft Day.

News: The Tigers agreed to terms on minor league contracts for the 2008 season with RHP Gabe Benitez, RHP Preston Larrison, RHP Aquilino Lopez, C Nick Trzesniak and SS Erick Almonte.
Analysis: All of these players are nothing more than organizational depth at this point in their careers. Ignore them on Draft Day in all Fantasy leagues.
    • Marlins make couple of minor cuts

News: The Marlins sent down SS Robert Andino and reassigned C Nick Trzesniak to minor-league camp.
Analysis: Andino is a defensive-minded shortstop, while Trzesniak is a minor-league journeyman. Ignore both in all Fantasy leagues right now.
    • Marlins hand out spring invites

News: The Marlins agreed to terms and offered spring training invitations to 3B Joe Dillon, 1B/OF John Gall, SS Zach Sorensen, 3B Jason Wood, 3B/1B Scott Seabol, OF Alex Sanchez, C Chris Ashby, C Paul Hoover, OF Nick Trzesniak, RHP Roy Corcoran, RHP Nate Field, RHP Lee Gardner, RHP Mike Koplove, RHP Wes Obermueller, RHP Eddy Rodriguez, RHP Jimmy Serrano and LHP Chris George. Analysis: Trzesniak is nothing more than a reserve for the deepest of NL-only leagues if he were to make the team as a bench player -- unlikely. Ignore him.
    • C Trzesniak optioned to minors

News: The Rangers optioned SS Joaquin Arias to Triple-A Oklahoma of the PCL. Also, they assigned C Nick Trzesniak and INF Travis Metcalf to their minor league camp.
Analysis: Trzesniak is nothing more than minor league depth at this point in his career. Ignore him in Fantasy leagues, because he's too far down the depth chart in 2006.
