      The Rangers gave outfielder Brad Snyder a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training Thursday. Snyder, who hasn't played in the majors since 2011, spent last season in the Diamondbacks organization, hitting .311 with 12 homers and an .864 OPS in 411 at-bats.
