      Following up on a report from Monday, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports Young signed a two-year, $13 million contract with the Red Sox. The Red Sox have yet to make an official announcement regarding the signing, but it seems as if the two sides have come together for a deal. The 32-year-old outfielder will likely serve as a platoon option against left-handers considering Rusney Castillo, Jackie Bradley and Mookie Betts all figure to occupy outfield roles with the club for now.
