    Rockies will have 24 non-roster invites in spring camp

    The Rockies announced Tuesday 24 players received non-roster invites to spring training. The roster breakdown is 12 pitchers, four infielders, two outfielders and six catchers. The pitchers are Christian Bergman, Brooks Brown, Greg Burke, Eddie Butler, Manny Corpas, Yohan Flande, Jonathan Gray, Pedro Hernandez, Chris Martin, Nick Masset, Scott Oberg and Josh Sullivan. The four infielders are Paul Janish, Angelys Nina, Ben Paulsen and Rafael Ynoa. The two outfielders are Jason Pridie and Tim Wheeler. The six catchers are Ryan Casteel, Dustin Garneau, Matt McBride, Michael McKenry, Tom Murphy and Jackson Williams. Gray, Butler and Murphy are among the team's top prospects.

    The Rockies signed outfielder Jason Pridie to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training. Pridie spent 2013 in the Orioles organization, but he got only 10 at-bats in the majors. He hit .269 with 15 homers and a .767 OPS in 479 at-bats at Triple-A Norfolk.
