    • Phillies cut seven from camp

News: The Phillies have sent OF Terry Tiffee, RHP Yorman Bazardo, RP Justin Lehr, SS Ozzie Chavez, 2B Anthony Hewitt, OF Jeremy Sladen and OF Chris Walker to the minor leagues.
Analysis: These players are nothing more than organizational depth at this point. Ignore them in all Fantasy leagues right now.
    • Phillies announce slew of minor deals

News: The Phillies announced the invitation of 10 players to spring training as non-roster invitees Wednesday. They include: right-handers Dave Borkowski, Justin Lehr, Blaine Neal and Mike Koplove, corner infielder Mike Cervenak, third baseman Terry Tiffee, first baseman Andy Tracy, outfielder Chris Walker, shortstop Ozzie Chavez and utility player J.J. Furmaniak. The following players were signed as minor league free agents: right-handers Yorman Bazardo, Yoel Hernandez and Justin Pope, left-handers Jason Mackintosh and Joshua Shortslef, first baseman/outfielder Brian Stavisky and outfielders Casey Craig, Kevin Mahar, Wilkin Ruan, Mike Spidale and Rich C. Thompson.
Analysis: These players are long shots to get time on the roster as a seldom-used reserves this season. They are nothing more than organizational depth at this point in their careers, so ignore him in all Fantasy leagues right now.
    • Cubs make first cuts

News: The Chicago Tribune reports the Cubs optioned RP Clay Rapada to Triple-A and 1B Brian Dopirak to Double-A. They also reassigned P Jason Anderson, Sean Gallagher, Adam Harben, John Webb and Randy Wells, IF Mike Kinkade and Eric Patterson, OF Tyler Colvin and Chris Walker to minor league camp.
Analysis: Dopriak is a struggling first-base prospect who is not expected to be on the team this season. Patterson remains a decent long-term keeper, but should go undrafted in most seasonal leagues. If Patterson is called up he could be useful in NL-only leagues. The rest of the players are not expected to make an impact in fantasy leagues this season and should be ignored on Draft Day.
    • Cubs hand out spring invites

News: The Cubs invited RHP Sean Gallagher, RHP Adam Harben, LHP Ryan O'Malley, LHP Carmen Pignatiello, RHP Randy Wells, C Jake Fox, 3B Casey McGehee, 2B Eric Patterson, IF Mike Kinkade, OF Tyler Colvin, OF Chris Walker to spring training.
Analysis: Patterson is a decent middle infield prospect, but all of these players don't figure to have a legit chance to make the team this spring. Ignore them on Draft Day at this point outside of the deepest of long-term keeper leagues.
